Nextech - Updating User Permissions to Override Template Rules
It is possible that when setting up a new Nextech account and we begin implementing templates and template rules, it may cause permission issues for existing staff members that take care of scheduling.
If a staff member is being blocked from being able to book over/override template rules you can update their permissions by doing the following:
Go to Contacts and swap the search to only include Users:
2. Select the user in question from the dropdown.
3. Once the user is selected, we can update permissions in 2 ways.
The first method is by individual users.
If there is only one person that needs access, you will click on the User Permissions option.
The second method is for a whole group of users (for instance all the front desk staff.)
They more than likely are part of a User Group set up in Nextech, and we can instead update the permissions for the group instead of by the individual user.
To do so you would click the Permission Groups option.
After you click this, you will pick the group in question from the list and then click Group Permissions.
Note: After you click Group Permissions you will be able to see a list of the users that are a part of the group
After following through with either of the two methods above, the following instructions will be identical.
Expand Scheduler module
Expand Scheduler Template Rules
This will list every RULE NAME (not template name) being used in the templates.
Ideally, the office has created unique rule names that include a part of the template name so we can easily pinpoint which rule we are allowing staff to override.
Select the rule in question and checkmark the Allowed box to the right of the window.
