Google Analytics - Measure Activity Across Domains

If your practice has provided their Google Analytics, or GA number, it is important to enable cross-domain tracking. Since patients will move from your domain to NextPatients', by default, Google will track them as two separate visitors causing your numbers to appear higher than they are actually. In order to prevent such issues, visit https://support.google.com/tagmanager/answer/6164469?hl=en and follow the instructions provided; use “nextpatient.co” (without the quotes) for the Auto Link Domains field.

Ready to test the setup? Book an appointment through the online scheduling widgets and look at the tracking code on the Thank-You page. It is through this page that NextPatient sends the event to your GA account. After a short wait, you should be able to visit your GA profile and under Behavior > Events, see an event titled “NextPatient Book.”

If you do not see such an event appear and have wait at least 15 minutes after scheduling, please reach out to your account manager for further assistant.
