First, you will want to find the payment in NextPatient.
There are two ways to go about doing this:
Option 1: Click “Payments” in the top menu bar in NextPatient, find the patient, click on their name.
Option 2: Click “Today’s Patients” in the top menu bar, find the patient, click on their name.
Once you have located the patient and are on their information page, scroll to the “Payments” section:
You’ll see a box similar to the one above. It will include the last date/time that the payment was updated, the amount of the payment, and the status of the payment. To refund the payment, simply click “refund”.
These steps are the same whether you use Square or Stripe as your payment processing partner.
